MikTex on Windows 7 updating question

Good Afternoon,

We are looking into installing this software for one of our users. The concern I have is that our user
accounts are locked down from doing updates or installing software. Does the update function of MikTex
require administrative rights? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I did install and now run miktex without any problems on a
restricted user account in win7 (in single user mode) and can also
make updates without any problems.
