Another feature request?

I have a feature request/question. In the first version of pgf (before
tikz) you had a gallery in the small documentation with an example of a
3D box that was progressively rotated. However, I don't have the original
version anymore.

So my question is; is it possible to do such quasi-3D rendering in the new
pgf/tikz? That is, can I draw a picture using the xyz coordinates and
then define a perspective? Or is this too much to ask of latex?
