Devanagari pagenumbering in the presence of hyperref

In DevanagariTeX vesion 2.15, I enocunter the following problem.
In the presence of a hyperref command such as
\usepackage[pdftex,pdfstartview=FitH,colorlinks=true,
linkcolor=blue,bookmarks=true]{hyperref}
the preamble
   \pagenumbering{devanagari}
or
   \renewcommand\thepage{{\dn \arabic{page}}}
or
   \renewcommand\thepage{\dn p.r.s.tha\arabic{<page>}}}
all fail to compile and do not produce a dvi or PDF file.
The DevanagariTeX manual warns about it on page 16 of the manual.
Has this bug been fixed since then, and is there any solution to get Devanagari
page number in the presence of Hyperref conmmands?
Thanks in advance
Narayanaswami
