Dear Mr Schrod,

I partially solved my problem by simply adding:
(require "lang/latin/caseisrt.xdy")
to my .xdy file. Now the latin entries are sorted regrdless of the letter case, just as the Bulgarian ones.
The only bit of a problem is that the latin list comes first, instead of second, as I wish, but this is not the
sort of problem that would make me involve into the rather complicated procedure you suggested.
