Eliminate sound export

I am copying silent movies using a projector and camcorder directly
into my computeer via firewire. Unfortunately the microphone on the
camcorder picks up the sound of the projector. I am using DV AVI
type2 to download. I can mute this for edit, however when I export
to MPEG I can not fiqure out how to eliminate this noisy sound
track. Eventually I want to go to DVD.

Thanks,
Gary

Just create a sound file with the n minutes of silence you need in
Audacity and dub it over your video using the "dub" function in the FX
menu.
