MPlayer 1.0pre3 windows binarys

Hi,
I just uploaded the 1.0pre3 mingw binarys to
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32-beta/

Features:
- static compiled exe with runtime-cpudetection
- compiled with libavcodec, faad, ogg, xvid and matroska support
- support for quicktime, real, dshow, vfw and acm binary codecs
- freetype font support (you will have to alter mplayer/config to reflect
your windows font dir)

Changelog:
- fixed timer bug that might cause high cpuload on some systems
- added runtime ontop functionality to vo directx (-vo directx:ontop is
obsolete now)
- SSE support
- mencoder is now included in the main package
- xvid 1.0 beta2 encoding support
See the hompepage for a complete list of changes

Was this changed in CVS or is this a patch? If it's a patch, can you
make your patchset available somewhere?

[Bug] seeking in avi + vobsub with unknown subtitles

[Automatic answer: RTFM (read DOCS, FAQ), also read DOCS/bugreports.html]

I have found a reproduceable bug in mplayer-1.0pre3. It occures in Schascha
Sommer's precompiled MinGW ports and on self-compiled mplayers running on a
debian unstable/testeing
(harddisk-install of Knoppix v3.2)

When i start a avi file with vobsub-file (*.idx and *.sub) named equally to
the avi in the same directory, mplayer crashes every time i try to seek
while the "Subtitles (0) unknown" is
selected.
I guess this is/was the Korean subtitle of thes Korean animation, that
seemes to be removed. See attached *.idx-file. While it is selected, no
subtitles are being displayed in the video output. With the
ohter two subtitles (Subtitles: (-1) none & Subtitles (1) en, choosed by
pressing 'j') or subtitles disabled ('v'), seeking works fine.

This is true for most output-drivers, like directx on win32 or xv, x11, sdl,
gl and gl2 on linux. Though -vo vesa does not crash (the only one in linux i
found up to now not crashing).

Do you need more info? Shall i upload the first part of the avi?
Sorry, in the moment i am too lazy to write a propper bugreport. But if you
say you need more information, i will try to provide them tomorrow. Today i
have already spent too much time behind the screen.

Regards
Stefan

Here is an output of the problem.

Does pre2 have the same problem, those subtitles which is not defined in .idx
file cannot be used at least now, and the seeking should be disabled. I'll
try to fix it asap.

Hi 陆然

Thanks for your response and thank you for trying to fix this.
With pre2 I do not have this problem. I can choose Subtitles: (0) unknown and
still seek without mplayer crashing.
Disabling seeking might be a bit too harsh. I think it would be better to make
mplaye choose "Subtitles: (-1) none" or "Subtitles: (1) en" by default when
it finds an unkonw subtitle before completely disabling all seeking. The
users will be quite surprised and confused when mplayer does not respond to
their seeking-requests via keyboard any more.

Best regards
Stefan Gürtler

Sorry for my English, that's exactly what I think :).
