Accented character shortcuts on Windows

I recommended Bluefish to my nephew yesterday. He was vey happy until he discovered that he could not type a
single quote and an s. Each time he did it was converted to an s with an accent. I'm running Mac OSX and this
problem doesn't occur on my machine. He is running Windows 7. I blamed Windows but he is more cautious and
thought Bluefish may be at fault.

Is there a setting that could be changed to fix this problem?

There have not been any bug reports that I can remember of a similar
problem. Does this only happen with the s character? What version of
Bluefish is he using? What are his language settings in Windows and
Bluefish? I will see if I can access a computer running Win7 and try to
reproduce the problem.

Hi Jim,

thanks for the offer. He's discovered the same behaviour occurring in the google Chrome search box so it's
obviously a system wide thing, not a Bluefish problem.
