Adding an album to an existing project

Hello,

I would like to add a new album to an existing booh project. So far,
the only way I found was the following :

— create a new folder in the directory from which is the root of the
booh project we wish to modify.
— add the pictures and movie files we wish in that directory
— within the booh program, go to file -> properties and just click ok
so that booh will reload the files, recalculate everything, (including
the previously loaded files) and finally let us comment our new album

Is there any better way to do this ?
Thanks.

File/Merge new subalbums is the way to go at your 3rd step, normally.

Conceptually, booh handles albums, which are made of subalbums. So I
am not really sure what you want to do. If you wish to add a new
subalbum then you're right: just add a new subalbum (subdirectory) at
the desired location (source directory or one of its subdirectories).
If you wish to create a new album just use File/New. Finally, in
current dev version you also have the new ability to "extend" an album
(e.g. an existing album may become a subalbum of a larger album), for
example if you have a Ski album and you want to make it a Sports album
with Ski in one part, Hiking in another part etc.

Re: Adding an album to an existing project

Ok thanks, that was wath I wanted to do.

However, this leads me to another question, that might become a feature
request depending on your answer :

the way booh actually handle things forces me to adapt the way I
arrange my picture files on the file system and the same way I want them
to be arranged in booh. I would like to be able to untie the two
things. An example might help get what I mean.

On the filesystem, I have :

Images/
Images/Event 1
Images/Event 2
Images/Event 2/Part 1
Images/Event 2/Part 2
Images/Event 3/Aaaa/Bbbb
Images/Event 3/Aaaa/Cccc
Images/Event 3/Aaaa/Dddd
Images/Event 3/Aaaa/Eeee

However, within booh, I wish I could have :

Album «My so interesting life for granny»
Subalbum /Event 1
Subalbum /Event 2/Part 1

and
