I've found a workaround; I trick sharers (at least, facebook) into
generating thumbnails by specifying the images in a hidden span
(however, since the proper image is loaded with Javascript, I cannot
make sharers know which image is displayed, e.g. which thumbnail to
propose by default; but it's far better than previously).
