HELP: Installing on MacOS X 10.3 (Panther

Hi there,

This is my first mail here...

I'm trying to install the Midgard framework on MacOS X 10.3 (Panther)
'user' version, with Developer tools installed. So things like
(g)libtool are on there, as far as I know. When I'm running ./configure
for midgard-lib, which is the first, I get an error that it can't find
glib-config and pkg-config and asks if I installed glib.

Now i'm not enough of a UNIX expert to know what is wrong, so I'm
looking for people who've successfully installed Midgard on MacOS X.
Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards
Marc

glib is a separate library that is part of the GTK packages.
You can get it easiest using fink.

You'll find my Midgard installation notes for Panther from:

mod-preparser compiling failure (apache2)

Hi,

I've tried to compile the cvs mod-preparser on a RH 3 AS system with
apache 2 . Here I have httpd-2.0.46-26.ent, gcc-3.2.3-24.
The midgard-lib installation was without any problem.
I've attached the error messages. Any suggestions are welcome.

TIA,
Marius

Re: HELP: Installing on MacOS X 10.3 (Panther

Henri,

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to know if there are any people who have installed it
without recompiling Apache and PHP from source...? Thanks in advance
for the answer.

Kind regards,
Marc
