Various people have worked with the source code and spun off their own modified versions - I keep coming across them online. There is a SourceForge project called snipsnap which claims, as of 2007-11-05, that there is a development effort. (User angel-o-sphere - if you're out there, it would be great to hear from you.) Otherwise, I'll start pinging messages to the owners of these bespoke installations to see if they have the original code and/or are willing to share their versions. Since I have several web sites using SnipSnap, to start with I really just want to have the source code and be able to build the system from scratch, as insurance - at the moment all I can get are the JARs. -- N.
