delayed indexing interval ?

Regarding http://zwiki.org/1091DelayedIndexingAntiSpamMeasure , I'm
thinking of using a fixed delay of 24 hours, rather than adding yet
another property to twiddle. The effect would be that zwiki pages would
never be indexed by search engines within a day of an edit. Simple. What
do you think of this ?

Re: delayed indexing interval ?

I guess the downside is that an active page might not get indexed for a
long time. A tradeoff. c2.com uses 10 hours and recommends 10 * (maximum
lifetime of spam on the wiki).

Re: delayed indexing interval ?

If that seems to be a problem we could activate the noindex tag only
after anonymous edits, relying again on spammers not knowing about
username cookies.

Or 1 hour for identified edits, 24 hours for anonymous ones.
