My biggest bone to pick with them came about when I offered to put the LNT logo on BGT’s main page. BGT is a pretty high traffic site. I was doing them a favor. Their reply was that I would have to pay them $150 a year (this was a while ago) to put their logo on my site. I just laughed and asked them why I would pay to give them free advertising on my site (the only ad that would ever appear there). Their reply was that it took lots of money to run an organization as big as theirs. “No, no” I said. I pointed out that BGT ran on $10 a month for web hosting and I paid that out of my pocket. We are also a fairly large organization.
But I also pointed out that my volunteers actually are.....
We agreed that their logo would never appear on BGT.

Maybe that is why I principally agree with LNT, but, being in Europe, a
nd Dutch to that matter, I just react strangely to people that overzealously tell me what I can do and what I can not with regarding to one subject (the outdoors) while messing up another.... NOTHING AGAINST ANYBODY here, since I don't know you....
