To avoid confusion from my first message, I hasten to agree with this
one. Vinyl is a cheap replacement for leather, but it seems even more
inadequate as a replacement for latex.

Last questions

At p. 55 (beginning of part II), I find: *Here I am and am no I. This circle
in all, this change changing in winterless, a dawn circle with an image of,
an autumn change with a change of mist*.
There at least one part of the phrase which is not complete (with an image
of), perhaps another one (changing in winterless, if winterless is used as
an adjective).
Now, I think this is not a typo. Delany wanted to write it like that.
How do you axplain this?

Indeed, serious fetishists will wear rubber/latex, not vinyl.

Vinyl has always kind of had that tacky, cheesy aspect to it (think
of the vinyl miniskirts in "A Clockwork Orange")
