Salary range:  Level B $81,400 - $96,663 p.a.

The Communication and Media Studies program is premised on a strong and mutually supportive relationship between communication theory and practice, and an understanding of practical writing, communication and digital production skills. The program also supports a Masters by Coursework in International Journalism, and transnational teaching in the Asian region.

This is an exciting opportunity for innovative and enthusiastic academics who are committed to teaching and research in the discipline of Communication and Media Studies. Applicants must have a PhD in Communication or Media Studies, or a related discipline.

The appointees will be required to teach students across a range of levels. 

One position will have a particular focus on theoretical knowledge of communication and the media industries, digital media cultures, and critical and practical approaches to traditional and new media forms.

The second position will have a particular focus on digital media production and communications design in the context of contemporary media practices.

Applicants with teaching experience are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application.  Benefits include 17% superannuation, generous leave provisions and fares to Perth (if applicable) for appointee and dependants along with a removal allowance.
