Re: [ Snuff Box The Nasal Snuff Club] nicotine "resistance"

Now as to your lack of apparent addiction to cigarettes, that is due to the fact you are smoking only half a pack per month, that doesn't lend itself to strong addiction in most people. The nature of addiction is in the repeated introduction of a chemical substance into the body producing a physical dependence. The exact mechanism will differ depending on the substance.
As to something being "only in your head" I might agree with that somewhat, one might recognize that all sensations ultimately are due to the brain's interpretation of a stimulus. No worries, it doesn't mean you're crazy. ;)

hello there,
i´ve got some ridiculous question... i´ve been using snuff for about
three months. i have smoked cigs two years, then stopped for a couple
of years, now smoking "regularly" once in a while (let´s say half a
pack per month). i know how hard is to stop smoking (i REALLY do), i
was trying to quit at least a hundred times and finally managed to
quit cold turkey. now i´m experiencing kind of weird situation. it
seems i have "trained" nicotine resistance, i mean not in its effects
but rather in terms of dependence. i can do without snuff (or) cigs
e.g. two weeks - without having any bad physical effects or without
mood changes. nothing. is this possible or is it only my
mind/imagination? :o) what do you think?
thank you very much gentlemen
