[this belongs on help-nano] Hello Neil, Nano has compiled under FreeBSD for some time. On the official download page however, the only thing that would work would be the source code tarball which would then require compilation. However nano is also in the ports tree as well as 3rd party packages. I dont have access to a FreeBSD system at the moment, but it may be as simple as running "pkg_add -r nano" as root. Otherwise I would look at the FreeBSD docs at http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/ports.html for more info on getting started. I hope this helps, and have a great weekend.
