Namespace Declaration Hiding

Question: does oXygen XML currently provide any features for hiding of
namespace declaration attributes (I haven't upgraded to V7 yet so I
can't check there)?

If it doesn't, is it on the feature request list?

What I'm thinking of is an option that would hide or iconize in some way
namespace declaration attributes on start tags within the text editor.
There would have to be an easy way to examine a tag to see what
namespaces either it declares or are mapped in its scope.

This would make it much easier to author documents where you have a mix
of elements from different namespaces and you want to declare these
namespaces as defaults. This is especially problematic in, for example,
technical documentation where you might have a number of different
vocabularies used for inline markup within paragraphs, where having lots
of namespace declaration attributes would definitely be disruptive and
annoying.

Cheers,

E.

Re: Namespace Declaration Hiding

Hi Eliot,

No, there is neither such feature nor a feature request with that
content. Anyway at a first glance this seems not an easy to implement
feature.

Best Regards,
George

OK. I can appreciate that the editor might not really be set up to do
this kind of special processing within the tag text.

Anyway, the requirement is out there for what it's worth.
