Unwanted highlighting

Hello,

I commonly write documents which include tables in winedt without problems. This time, winedt produced a peculiar feature which I haven't been able to track down to anything in particular after looking at the highlighting documentation and the faq list. After my table (which includes three minipages and a tabular within each minipage) the text which follows it is highlighted in light gray and the font is coloured red, which is the default look for text INSIDE tables. The pdf is compiled without any problems, as far as I could tell, and I get no warnings. However, I have noticed that all the text that is in red is not actually included in the word count, which is both annoying and also makes me wonder whether this could be messing up other things as well which go undetected at the moment. Has anyone encountered this kind of thing or has any idea what it could be caused by?

Thanks,

Dimitra

Why don't you send a short sample of your tex source where the
problem occurs?

Also:

your build of WinEdt?

Default or customized (upgraded from which version) settings?

Best regards,

alex

RE: Unwanted highlighting

Thanks for your response.

I use winedt 5.4 for windows xp/2000. I haven't changed any settings on
winedt. And my table looks something like this (I have simplified it so
it's easier to read):

\begin{table}[p]\caption{Hybrid Conditional Logit Results -
``Intangibles'' projects}
\label{CLMtan}\fontfamily{phv} \fontsize{8}{11}\selectfont
\begin{minipage}[t]{0.40\columnwidth}
%\setlength{\extrarowheight}{0.06cm}
\setlength{\tabcolsep}{1pt} \centering
\begin{tabular}{$l^r^c}
\toprule[2pt] \multicolumn{3}{l}{\textbf{Conditional (fixed-effects)
logistic
regression}} \\
\multicolumn{3}{r}{Number of obs = 9911}\\
\multicolumn{3}{r}{LR $\chi^2$(109)     =     1160.15}\\
\multicolumn{3}{r}{Prob $>$ $\chi^2$     =     0.0000}\\
\multicolumn{3}{r}{Log l= -1580.4302} \\
\multicolumn{3}{r}{Pseudo R$^2$ = 0.2685}\\ \\
\textcolor{greene}{Variable} & \textcolor{greene}{Coefficient} &
\textcolor{greene}{$P>|z|$} \\
\hline
1 &    2 &    3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &    3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
 \end{tabular}
\end{minipage}
\begin{minipage}[t]{0.28\columnwidth}
%\setlength{\extrarowheight}{0.06cm}
\setlength{\tabcolsep}{1pt} \centering
\begin{tabular}{$l^r^c}
\textcolor{greene}{Variable} & \textcolor{greene}{Coefficient} &
\textcolor{greene}{$P>|z|$} \\
\hline
1 &    2 &    3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &    3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
1 &    2 &     3 \\
\end{tabular}
\end{minipage}
\end{table}

This here is the part of the text that becomes red and is highlighted.

Thank you,

Dimitra
