Problem with the mouse

This is my problem: when I edit any text in WindEdt,
the focus of the mouse is moving all the time.
If I click the mouse in a position in an open text,
the blinking cursor indicating the WinEdt current position
is placed correctly there but, if I click again without
moving at all the mouse, the cursor appears in a different
place (a few lines above).
This is very annoying. In particular, I can't do double-clicking.
It does not depend on the mouse. The touchpad of the laptop
or an external USB mouse do the same.

This behavior only happens when editing  WinEdt texts,
not in other applications (including WinEdt Help).

Has anybody experienced a similar problem?

Thanks,

Paco Lopez

My configuration:
Dell Inspiron 94000, Windows Vista Ultimate

You did not mention the Version and Build of WinEdt but I
suspect it is not the latest one. This is a bug in Vista only
triggered when you are using Large Fonts with certain display
options. Anyway, I was able to reproduce it last summer and it
has been fixed as of build 20070706 on:

    {!20070706: Don't Move the cursor (problems with large fonts on Vista)}
    //SetCursorPos(pt.x,pt.y);

You'll need a newer version of WinEdt. Then let us know if the
problem is indeed fixed on your system.

Best regards,

alex

You were right, I've installed the latest version
(Build: 20071003  (v. 5.5))
and the problem has been fixed now.
Sorry for having disturbed when the solution was so easy.

Thanks a lot!
