pdfsync with TeXLive

Hi,
     I'm using WinEdt 5.6b with TeXLive 2007 on a PC. In options -> 
execution mode -> Acrobat, one can supposedly check "use forward search 
(pdfsync)" such that the pdf file generated on compilation opens at the 
corresponding spot to which the cursor is pointing in WinEdt editor. I 
loaded the pdfsync package in the preamble of my tex document as 
mentioned in WinEdt help but I don't get the desired result. I'm using 
Acrobat professional 8.  I suppose that this  feature works with MikTeX  
and not TeXLive. Anyone with similar experiences and suggestions?
