Bug in abbreviation functionality?

Hello, Alex.

It seems, that there is a bug in abbreviation functionality (WinEdt 5.5, build
20071003).

WinEdt treat last character in "Trigger string" as space character. For example,
when trigger string is equal to "1", abbrev. expansion for "etc" triggered only
if I type "etc ". It's also true for multicharacter "Trigger string". For
example, when "Trigger string"="__", expansion works only on "etc_ ".

yes, there is a bug: after you change the trigger string in the
dialog the trigger character (the last character of this string)
is not automatically updated unless you also modified the list of
substitutions (inserting and deleting a line should be enough). It
will work if you restart WinEdt.

This has now been fixed...

Best regards,

alex
