Yes, thuis entry has been removed because no longer necessary.
Just go to the "filter"-submenu and then do "No filter (all file-buffers)"
This adds exactly all currently opened buffers to the history-buffer which are
related to a file...means no longer existing entries will be removed and
and all existing file-buffers wil be added.

I added that the naming of this popup-menu-entry could be better ;-)
maybe i should rename it to "No filter (exactly all living file-buffers)" but

Oh, I see. Thank you, that was good to know. I agree that it is not
obvious that this is how one should update the history-buffer, but it is
also difficult to come up with a better name for the popup-menu item.
Thinking about it, I think that perhaps it should be available in two
