I'm fascinated with GOSSiP and it's a pleasure to find out that Mark is on the IAR list. See what you've done, John? And why didn't you do it before ;) The SIQ protocol isn't for end users, nor is it post delivery. A person could find ways to pervert it into such a use. Now I remember, I kept pressing Anthony to include a way for me to instruct the server how to process my query, for example so I could select different config for different domains, or down the road for post-DATA queries. So I see where you may have concluded that the SIQ protocol was for use post-DATA. Actually we only added that for the sake of flexibility. I use it completely pre-DATA. Sticking to how we use it and how it was conceived, all happens right after MAIL FROM: in the SMTP conversation.
