Bug#684348: gnome sometimes hangs during logon

Package: gnome
Version: 1:3.0+9
Severity: important

Reproduce:
1. Log onto the graphical interface by choosing your login, typing in your password and pressing Enter.
2. Sometimes gnome hangs shortly after pressing Enter (see the attached pictures from two different
hangs). The mouse pointer follows physical mouse movements, clicking on anything has no effect, the
Windows key on the keyboard has no effect. You can switch to console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and, e.g., log in there
and kill gnome from there.
