Freescale P1020EWLAN Board OpenWRT Base Version

Hi Stuart,

we are just about to setup the Freescale P1020EWLAN Board with ltib-p1020wlan-20110816.

After a lot of patching I got ltib to work under Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit (I didn`get it to run under 32-bit).

Now we want to move to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit (or 32-bit) with the current ltib. Are there any new patches to run in comparison to Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit.

Do you recommend 32 or 64-bit? Is there a additional bsp package available with all patches included?

Additionally I have a question concerning the base version of OpenWRT you use in the ltib-p1020wlan-20110816.

What version and branch of OpenWRT is ltib-p1020wlan-20110816 based on? I had a look at /etc/banner but unfortunately there is no OpenWRT Base Version included.

Thank you.

Best regards

Mathias

Re: Freescale P1020EWLAN Board OpenWRT Base Version

Hi Mathias,

Generally 32bit is preferred.  64bit is okay but you need to make sure you have the 32bit compatibility libraries installed (there's information in the mailing list archive about this).  The reason is that some toolchains as built 32bit.

Ubuntu 12.04 is not yet supported.  Currently I don't have time to look into this, but welcome anyone to submit patches if they have it working.

Regarding P1020EWLAN, this is a Freescale BSP and I have no insights into this, you'll need to contact Freescale.

Regards, Stuart
