falcom samba75 and gammu 1.17

I have switched back to and older version of gammu and python gammu to try my luck.

I am using:

 WindowsXP SP2
 Gammu 1.17.0
 Py-gammu 0.24
 Python 2.5.1
 falcom samba 75 usb modem

Now I can get some results from the gammu command line sendsms. It will send an sms text message.

However, the python bindings now give me the visual c debugger. As far as I can work out I have the correct
python bindings for the version of gammu, but I am not 100 percent sure.

Python errors out on sm.ReadConfig()
Unhandled win32 exception occurred in python.exe[3880].

So what problems am i looking at. I'm not sure.

Should I only try running gammu on Linux not XP.

Some older python-gammu versions were broken on XP, try latest one (it
contains static version of Gammu, so it does not matter which version
you have installed).
