AP with trigger function

Hi,
I am looking at a Wireless Access Point implemented on a Ubuntu Sever, 
which implements a triggering
function. Basically, when a certain MAC is in the AP range, a triggering 
action is performed.

Your hostapd SW seems a good basis to start, do you see any problems in 
implementing this triggering functionality?
