OMSA 7.0 is working ok on our 1850 servers.
Just make sure you are installing the 32bit version, the 64bit version doesn't support the perc4 controller.
(but 6.x had the same issue)

Thanks, Stephan. I was hoping someone who'd already tried it might
confirm it for me. I let yum update it and OMSA 7 is now running fine
on an 1850.

BTW - the author of that blog you referenced sounds AWESOME! ;)
