KVM libvirt virt-manager failing to request root password
Hello, I'm having trouble creating new VM's on Mandriva One 2009.1. The problem seems to be that the Virtual Machine Manager does not request the root password and as a result I am unable to create new VMs. I've attached a copy of the relevant virt-manager log file with my comments added. Hello, Iḿ trying to setup a virtual machine on Mandriva One 2009.1 running on an Intel Core2 Duo CPU E6850. Iḿ using KVM, qemu, libvirt and virt-manager from Mandrivaâs repositories. When I start the Virtual Machine Manager from Tools - Emulators it already has a localhost with ID qemu and Status Active (RO). Double clicking on the localhost does nothing. My understanding is that it should ask for the root password at this stage. Clicking on the ´New' button brings up a New VM window ready to accept a name for the new VM, but the choice of how to install the operating system is greyed out as are the(Continue reading)
