Fixing KDE Desktop FC16

Hi
How can I fix the KDE Desktop on a FC16 system.

I set up this for an in-law and today that I went to update it, I noticed that the desktop says on the upper right hand corner "Copy of Desktop" and none of the usual desktop icons is around.

How can I fix this? I 've been googling around but have not found anything useful yet, maybe I am not using the right keywords.

Thanks!

I've never seen what you're describing. But, since you just set this up today, why not just delete the user
account (saving any data you need to save) add recreating the user?

It sounds like you are on a different Activity (which is a copy of the
"Desktop" activity). Try clicking the red/blue/green dots next to the
k-menu/fedora menu icon and you should see your activities listed.
Click on the one that says "Desktop" and you should be back to normal.

Re: Fixing KDE Desktop FC16

Tried to do it but it did not work out. The activity circles where not there at all! :)

In the end, I just created a new account, moved all the obvious stuff to the new account (no .files), removed the old account and renamed the new account just like the old one with same passwords and all.

Made sure all permissions where correct and life is good till next time :(

Thanks!
