The changes are as follows:

This major release is based on OpenJDK. Performance on multi-core systems was
improved. A new join/fork framework was integrated. Better support for dynamic
and scripted languages was introduced. Unicode 6.0.0 and ISO 4217 currency codes
are now supported. Project Coin brings various improvements to the Java
language, such as binary literals, underscores in numeric literals, Strings in
switch statements, and many others. Various other improvements and enhancements
were made.
