Hi Nigel and everybody, I have a problem since 2.6.25, so way old, but I never found the time to investigate it further. Now my time budget looks a bit better... Problem: since 2.6.25 tuxonice simply wouldn't hibernate for me. I now tried a lot of things, different kernel versions (most recent 2.6.26), many different compile options, switched off everything fancy that I could via the /sys interface, changed my bios from plain sata to ahci back and forth, changed from encrypted swap to normal ... nothing helped. On first boot TOI correctly detects everything, sees that this is not an hibernated image and continues booting. Then when trying to hibernate, nothing happens, even in single user mode the echo > /sys/power/tuxonice/do_hibernate just blocks. Nothing, no error message, no logs, nada. (Fortunately sysrq still works, so I can power down almost correctly) suspend to ram and vanilla swsusp work. (suspend to ram produces a lockup of the machine for one in 10 tries in wakeup, but I can't imagine this related.) This is a dual core (Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7100) 64 bit system. I attach my .config, for 2.6.26 with TOI from git. Perhaps I just have overlooked something stupid, any help would be apreciated. Thanks(Continue reading)

any other idea what I could try?
