Hi Angelo:
Please accept my apologies for sending this very late reply.
Hopefully, someone was able to provide you a reasonable answer
before this.
Long story short: YDL 6.2/6.1 should work with any HP inkjet
printer. Just understand that the open source drivers which are
provided by many corporations (including HP) to CUPS
(http://www.cups.org/) contain many important printing functions
allowing the production of high quality printing, but may not contain
all the features which the particular printer you purchase may be
capable of when using the Windows or Macintosh operating system.
I notice that you are using a PS3 with the intention of using Linux,
the above statement means that although many open source drivers which
Linux relies upon will work adequately well, if you are looking to use
those advanced and unique features which can be activated from within
Windows or the Mac Operating System -- activating those features will
not be possible regardless which version of Linux you use on your PS3.
You have the added problem that the second model of the PS3 known as
the Slim, is not designed by Sony to run Linux at all. If you want to
run Linux on the PS3 you have to have an early version of the Fat
(Phat) PS3 and it has to have intact the early firmware I believe
earlier than 3.12. You can confirm the details for yourself by
visiting and asking someone on the YDL Board
(http://www.yellowdog-board.com/). The restrictions were created by
Sony, no one else.
