Hmmm … I am quite certain that I have succeeded in removing a folder
on an IMAP server using mew. I didn't record what I did to accomplish
this, but I can guess: In summary mode, hit C-h m, search a bit in the
resulting help page, and you get to

R d		mew-summary-delete-folder

Does this not do what you want?
