qmail-ldap consuming too much memory

Hi folks,

i have installed qmail-ldap and every thing seems ok except for the
fact that ldap is using too much memory.
For instance, i tried to deliver a message for a local user and
monitoring slapd daemon with top.
The "SIZE" column (tex+data+stack segment) of top program for the
slapd process went from 13MB to 38MB of usage.

Does anybody have any ideia about what is going on?
