qmail-ldap mail looping issue with bigbrother

Hi All,

I have an issue of mail looping.

Any email To/From support <at> example.com should be sent to
user1 <at> example.com and user2 <at> example.com. To achieve this a group email
is created as supportgroup <at> example.com.

bigbrother:
support <at> example.com:supportgroup <at> example.com

How to resolve this issue?

Why are you using bigbrother in the first place? It sounds like you just
want to do normal forwards so there is no need for using bigbrother.
bigbrother is there to sniff mails and should only be used to satisfy your
local police or other 3 letter agencys.

Re: qmail-ldap mail looping issue with bigbrother

Hi Mario,

I made  a test and confirm that the problem you report is exist if you use alias as a target.
The solution is add two line for support <at> example.com like following:

# cat bigbrother

support <at> example.com:user1 <at> example.com
support <at> example.com:user2 <at> example.com

Thanks

Re: qmail-ldap mail looping issue with bigbrother

Hi Ismail,

What you suggested I had tried long time back somewhere in August 2010.
If 2 entires are put in bigbrother for a single email, only the 2nd
email receives it. In this case only
support <at> example.com:user2 <at> example.com will receive the email.

With Best Regards,
Mario
