mimed gpg sig

mail.app users seem to send pgp signatures as a 7-bit ascii blob

    [2 Message signed with OpenPGP using GPGMail <application/pgp-signature (7bit)>]

which unwraps to

    -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
    Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (Darwin)

    iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJP+cKkAAoJEKDxVvTajeWAy5AH+wXe7kXV7BPuGTys7MjUElBF
    ...

i can not figure out how to verify the signature with either mailcrypt
under wanderlust (my normal mua) or enigmail under thunderbird (which i
use as biff).
