KVPNC 0.9.3 won't connect to MS-CHAP V2

Hi guys,

I've recently come back to Mandriva 2010 after spending some time using
Kubuntu. On Kubunutu with version 0.9.0 of KVPNC I was able to connect to my
works VPN which is supposed to use MS-CHAP V2, however I selected just plain
"CHAP" and it connected fine (so well that I couldn't disconnect, had to
restart :)).

On Mandriva 2010 with 0.9.3, I have tried various combinations but can't get
it working. The closest I can get is to use MS-CHAP (not V2) which allows it
to connect but I can't do anything, for example if I try to ping known IP
addresses I get:

[lionelandjenni <at> lionelandjenni-desktop ~]$ ping 10.10.10.16
PING 10.10.10.16 (10.10.10.16) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 10.10.10.16 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 4304ms

[lionelandjenni <at> lionelandjenni-desktop ~]$

Eventually KVPNC will tell me the remote modem has hung up and most times it
will crash at this point.

I disabled the firewall because that was getting in the way.

I've pasted the log window content below with IP addresses removed:

debug: Connect try requested, profile: kvpnc_import_WORK, type: PPTP
debug: pppd: /usr/sbin/pppd
