Cannot Update OpenNMS from 1.10.0 to 1.10.3

I’m running OpenNMS 1.10.0 on Centos 6.2.

Or:
I get this message:
Retrieving http://yum.opennms.org/[URL entered above]
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
        package opennms-repo-stable-1.0-18.noarch is already installed
If I try to use:
I get this message:
error: Failed dependencies:
        opennms-webui >= 1.10.3-1 is needed by opennms-1.10.3-1.noarch
        opennms-core = 1.10.3-1 is needed by opennms-1.10.3-1.noarch

I’m still very new to Linux so I’m sure I’m using the wrong link or doing something else incorrectly.  Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cannot Update OpenNMS from 1.10.0 to 1.10.3

Dustin,

You are trying to upgrade a single package, and it has dependencies.

Try doing “yum –y update opennms”

Ron

Re: Cannot Update OpenNMS from 1.10.0 to 1.10.3

I got it working.  I had disabled yum updates to OpenNMS when installing per the directions at: http://www.opennms.org/wiki/Installation:Yum#Disable_YUM_Updates by editing /etc/yum.repos.d/opennms-stable-rhel6.repo and setting “enabled=0” for both opennms entries.  Setting these back to “enabled=1” allowed yum to update them once again.  Running “yum update opennms” then successfully installed the new version of OpenNMS.  At that point I only had to update the database by running “/opt/opennms/bin/install –dis” and I was good to go.

OpenNMS 1.10.3 is now installed and running!
