How to make Pidgin Crash thanks to SILC
Hi,
Here is the message i sent 4 months ago to security <at> pidgin.im .
I never
received answer and the bug was still uncorrected in the 2.7.9
version
of Pidgin.
I forward you this message to be careful when using the SILC
implementation on Pidgin (which has many other problems).

"Hi,
I'm using the official SILC client and when i send a file to a
pidgin
user using this command :
/file send /path/file Nickname -no-listener
I got a crash of Pidgin and a segmentation fault, after he
accepts the
file.
If i remove the -no-listener parameter, the user is only
disconnected
from the server.
Here are some informations i could retrieve from the logs :
Backtrace :
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.1-ubuntu
