ANNOUNCE: fping 3.1

Hi,

I have just released fping 3.1 with the following changes since 3.0:

  * -g option (generate): exclude network and broadcast address for cidr
    ranges (idea by Eric Brander)
  * do not explicitely check if running as root, to make it possible to
    install fping with linux capabilities instead of making it setuid
    (setcap cap_net_raw+ep fping)
  * ANSI C (C89) compiler now a requirement
  * Portability fixes
  * Reorganized source directory
  * Bugfix: fix timeout issue on Solaris (Sandor Geller)
  * Man-page fixes (Axel Beckert)
  * Added -H option to specify number of hops (Paul Duda)
  * Output usage information to stdout when called with -h (Paul Duda)

You can download it from here: http://fping.org/dist/

Cheers
David

Thank you for this!

Just on a cursory glance at the documentation:

The man page detail for the -g option does not describe the recent
change in behaviour (exclusion of network and broadcast addresses).

The Changelog says "UNRELEASED".  :/
