I will compile without it and try again, hopefully the latency will not 
be unbearably bad....

CONFIG_PREEMPT shouldnt make _all_ that much of a human-perceivable
difference these days, with most of the bits of the lowlatency patches
being in 2.6.0. But it's definitely useful for a number of other reasons
too. Tux ought to work with it but it doesnt right now.
