[HA-General] Handasa Arabia -Cairo ICT Presentation 2005

Dear All,

	Handasa Arabia will introduce a presentation entitled:
"Open Source Hardware: Handasa Arabia Key bridge to technological
development".
	The presentation will be outlined about the Arab education/research
status ,Arab Talent pool at US , Open Source Hardware and Handasa Arabia
organization first phase achievements and some recent objectives and
goals for the 2nd phase which HA has been working on its plan for a
while..

	The presentation will be held at an "Open Source Forum" at the Cairo
ICT conference 2005 at 3:00 PM Cairo Local time, ElMazanayen hall.

HA sees that Open Hardware is a good vehicle for learning and practicing
technology in the context of the available resources in the region ;
addressing refining and polishing the pool of talent locally. 
This is a potential methodical strategy for technology development and
promotion.

	Handasa Arabia encourages the utilization, re-use of opened platforms
but in a conservative way that doesn't waste efforts of community or
being an obstacle for productive and profitable industry. 

	Openness is to learn and bridge gaps leading to stimulation of
innovation and leading edge proprietary and/or open technological
products that would serve inherently the requirements of the region.
