Re: OT: Does involve Linus

Man, I want that as a desktop background so bad.  Unfortunately, my "work machine" I often travel to clients with, and as my clients are bankers (sometimes the tech guys, sometimes not), I have a feeling someone would decide to play the "I'm offended" card on me.

Re: OT: Does involve Linus

Linus is a hero but Stallman is universally railed against, even
though he says the same thing about the word doc format?

Hmmmm....

Re: OT: Does involve Linus

Linus *occasionally* doesn't offend people.  RMS seems to revel in it.  His message is basically sound, but his delivery is offputting.  (To wit, his rants about saying "Linux" vs. "Gnu/Linux"; it just comes off as petty and eye-roll worthy.)

And, since I'm proud of this, I say this as an EFF.org member.

Re: OT: Does involve Linus

Maybe if they called the OS Gnunix instead of Linux Linus would be more likely to decry the name?

Anything's possible.

Or, gnu could finish Hurd and let Lin* go its own way.
