Re:AEC IT and Rural India Conference

Hi all,
I'm from Pune and would very much like to attend this conference. I'm
on a budget so if somebody could post some budget places off-line the
list with some rough pricing would be grateful so I know whether its
in my budget or not.

Looking forward to hear from you all.

Hi all,
It seems I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Shirish Agarwal. I'm
based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. I have been using free software for the
last 5-6 years and have had my share of changing distros and taking part in
the various flame-wars.

Moreover, I like to attend various community-driven events and blog about
them and let others know what's going on. You can find about me at

Comments and flames are both encouraged ;)

Re: AEC IT and Rural India Conference

Hi all,
One more thing there seems to be 6381 Pune-Eranukulum Express. Any idea
which of the 37 stations between Pune and Eranukulum I need to get down to
come there.

Looking forward to hear from you guys :)

you forgot to add that you also are campaigning to trivialise the
creative commons license by trying to license all your mails under
that. Please note that CC is meant for serious creative work and not
for run-of-the-mill mails. Your attempts are making people laugh at
the CC license. Kindly desist.

Kenneth,

I think you wanted to say "CC license is perhaps overkill for the content of
your mails." ?

Because who is to say what is "serious creative work" and what is
'run-of-the-mill mails' ... Further why are you trying to police the use of
a license that can be used by anyone freely as per his/her choice. Shirish
owns the copyright of the emails he writes and it is his, only his, business
to give other people permissions on what they can do with the content.
Calling it "campaigning to trivialise the creative commons license" is
attributing motives where, perhaps, none exist.

I do not know the people who are laughing at the CC license after seeing
Shirish's emails. But maybe they need some education too ;)
