I'm pleased to announce that after some weeks of work I finally succeed in totally rewrite *OvniConv* as an OpenOffice *extension* ! It's available right now from official OpenOffice extensions service: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/ovniconv I still wrote it in the Python language, so you'll require PyUNO to be able to install and run it. Hopefully, PyUNO is bundled in every OpenOffice packages, just not installed by default, so the only thing you have to do is to install it. In a GNU/Linux environment you'll do this simply by installing some PyUNO package. In Debian/Ubuntu it's the "python-uno" package. I don't know the name of the package for RedHat/Fedora but a "yum search pyuno" should answer that question easily.
