Summary: Edits disappear - then reappear mysteriously

Initial Comment:
I was editing [[Template:July 4 selected anniversaries]], 
and after editing it, the old version directly preceding 
mine disappeared, thus causing me to be credited with 
its edit. About 5 minutes later, it reappeared just as 
mysteriously.

I took screenshots of these two versions of the pages. 
The offending edit is the second from the top, titled "a 
more dynamic, patriotic image to rotate on July 4".
