Time to get our collective ass in gear!

All right folks, believe it or don't, I've managed to free myself up a
few days here.

I've been trying to set my home machine as a virtual host for
bsdevents.org and due to the way my ISP implements DNS (as well as a
faux pas or two by my ISP and yours truly), it's been a little
slow-going. However, the domain should be propagating to a server near
you within a few days. ;-)

The first thing I plan to do is move this mailing list to that server.
I've already got virtual hosting under Apache ready to rock, but still
need to enable virtual hosting on Postfix, which I'm unfamiliar with, so
it may take a day or so.

After I move the list, I will set up a bot to connect the two
#BSD-Advocacy channels.

Then, it will be time to set up CVS accounts. In the interest of
security, I will not be offering shells (unless absolutely necessary),
but I do plan on setting up another list to coordinate the development
effort.

---BEGIN TODO (THIS MEANS YOU!!!)---
Those of you who will be volunteering their excellent
PHP/Smarty/database skills, PLEASE send let me know so that I can set
you up CVS accounts!
---END TODO---

To get the ball rolling with development, I will put together a
directory structure and a Makefile or three and we'll take it from

Re: Time to get our collective ass in gear!

Hey Anthony,

I can and will help with any sort of development that's goinig on with
this project that is PHP/Smarty/SQL/C/Java/whatever related. I'm also
willing to write some articles or essays on some topics if it'd help.

Well, it's starting to look like it's going to be just you and I,
Devon, at least for the time being. Not a problem. That will only make
it more manageable. ;-)

I didn't get as much time as I had thought I would these last couple of
days, but I'm making definite progress. I'm hoping to have the mailing
list moved very soon.

What would you like your username to be?
