You are correct.

From WordNet (r) 2.0[wn]:

campaign
2: a series of actions advancing a principle or tending toward
a particular end; "he supported populist campaigns"; "they
worked in the cause of world peace"; "the team was ready
for a drive toward the pennant"; "the movement to end
slavery"; "contributed to the war effort" [syn: cause, crusade,
         drive, movement, effort]

I think that, of the two, I would prefer resource, since group connotes
membership, and I for one wouldn't want to make anyone feel unwelcome.

Any other suggestions?

Okay,I move that we go with BSD Advocacy Resource. If anyone objects,
now would be the time to speak up!
